Records Department

The Clinton Police Department offers two types of reports:

Accident Reports

If you have been involved in a vehicular accident in the City of Clinton, you should have been given a card with the case number. To obtain the report, visit the DPS website and enter your case number. If you do not have the case number, you can still look up the report based on other information.

Police Reports

Police Reports may be obtained in person from the Clinton Police Department for $20.00 fee (cash only). In order to obtain a report you must have the case number or the following items/information:

  • Valid picture ID
  • Location of incident
  • Time and date of incident
  • Name of the person who made the report

Public Records Request/FOIA

PROCEDURES FOR REQUESTING AND OBTAINING PUBLIC RECORDS

Cost for manpower and printed copies may apply to any PublicRecords Request.

Time: Request for Public Records can be made Monday -Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Records Request may not be taken on State recognized Holidays and or while records personnel are closed for lunch or for auditing purposes.

Pursuant to Mississippi State Statute, the Clinton Police Department is provided seven business days from receipt of request to respond to the Public Records request.
