Trick or Treating

Trick or Treating will be held on October 31. The City of Clinton is not responsible for rescheduling holiday observances. It is the discretion of a neighborhood and/or organization whether they will offer Trick or Treating on another day.

The Haunting of Olde Towne

The streets of Clinton's Olde Towne will once again be filled with ghouls, ghosts, and goblins when the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department hosts its annual "Haunting of Olde Towne."

Continuing in 2022, The Haunting of Old Towne will be held on Thursday, Oct 27 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Lion's Club Park.

Returning to the event are the usual crowd favorites such as cake walks, costume contests for ages 0-16, and carnival-style games. In addition, bounce houses, photo ops, and other interactive games will be available for H.O.O.T. attendees.

As always, there will be lots of candy for everyone participating in the games, and age-appropriate prizes will be given to contest winners.

The City of Clinton looks forward to hosting our community for a fun, family night out to kick off the Halloween weekend.  The entrance to the event will be at the corner of East Street and East Leake Street.  East Leake Street will be closed from East Street to the railroad tracks beginning at 2:00 pm on October 27th

Visit www.clintonms.org/Halloween for any updates leading up to the event due to inclement weather or any other information provided.

Howl-O-Ween

Anyone who has a pet knows that though DNA doesn’t bind them to us, they are loved and part of the family. Isn’t it a shame that Halloween is celebrated by everyone in the family except the beloved family pet? If this is a frightening reality to you, look no further!

The Parks and Recreation Department knows the answer to this problem, and it is of GRAVE importance. Bring your family and your beloved pooch down to Clinton Bark Park October 29, 2022 at 10:00-11:00am to celebrate HOWL-O-WEEN with us.

All our dog-lovin’ Clintonians and their furry friends are invited.  So dress up your dogs in their best for a costume contest (even if it’s FUR-ocious), a pet paw-rade, and doggie trick-or-treats. The costume contests will have four categories: small, medium, large, and People/pet combo.

Judging will begin promptly at 10:15am.

Bring your pups out to join in on the pet paw-rade, snack on some spooky treats, and enjoy the morning paw-ty at the park.  This event will be free to the public.  It should be a BOO-tiful day.  So go FETCH your calendar and mark us down. And Don’t worry social distancing will still be encouraged for humans, but dogs will still be allowed to sniff around.  We wouldn’t want to PET-rify you.
